Which heating system is best for me? What is the ideal heating for my home?
These are some of the most frequently asked questions among our users, as everyone wants to be able to enjoy great comfort in their home, without excessive consumption and without running up bills.
People feel the heat or cold differently, depending on the type of home or the insulation it has, the geographical area, the hours they require heating, the investment available to install a system or change it, whether it will require building work or not, the time spent at home by the members of that family or the fact that there are children or elderly people most of the time are key points when deciding which heating system may suit you best.
The reality is that there is no one perfect heating system for everyone. The key to answering these questions is to find the system that best suits each family’s comfort needs and lifestyle. In Elnur Gabarron we have numerous electric heating systems and, in this post, we want to give you a brief summary of the main ones, to help you make the decision on the heating system that best suits what you are looking for.
TYPES OF ELECTRIC HEATING
We start with electric central heating systems, i.e. those heating systems that heat water from a hydraulic circuit via water radiators, underfloor heating or fan coils.
AEROTHERMAL AIR TO WATER HEAT PUMP
Let’s start with aerothermal energy, a renewable energy that extracts heat from the outside air and provides heating in winter, cooling in summer and hot water through an inter-accumulator tank. It is the queen of all systems in terms of energy savings and environmental friendliness.
Aerothermia is an air-to-water heat pump and is one of the best alternatives to replace traditional boilers, such as gas or oil boilers. Not only will you forget about the use of these fuels, but you will be installing a system that gives you up to 80% free energy, providing up to 5 times more energy than it consumes.
Discover here the Thermira monobloc air heater, an all-in-one system with inverter technology, A+++ energy classification and a wide range of operating temperatures even in the most extreme temperature conditions.
ELECTRIC BOILERS
The electric boiler is another of the heating systems with radiators or underfloor heating that has been gaining momentum in recent years to replace gas boilers or oil boilers. Electric boilers use the same hydraulic system as aerothermal and gas or oil boilers to heat the home through water radiators or underfloor heating, and their initial investment is much cheaper and more affordable.
In Elnur Gabarron you have boiler models for heating only, mixed boilers for heating and hot water and high power electric boilers available from 3kW to 54kW. Find out here about the advantages of installing an electric boiler and what to look out for.
One of the great advantages offered by the Elnur Gabarron Mattira range of electric boilers is its intelligent electronics, which allows us to limit the maximum working power of the boiler according to heating needs. In addition, in heating, they can adapt consumption to the needs of the home in real time. When the house reaches the selected temperature, the electric boiler will reduce its operating power to maintain the temperature while consuming only what is essential. In hot water, the boiler can activate a function that studies the user’s weekly hot water usage habits, reducing the set temperature during periods of inactivity.
The installation is very quick and does not require a flue or annoying ventilation grilles, which makes it easy to install in new installations. They are totally safe and do not require any maintenance.
Having seen the central heating systems, we continue with the individual individual heating systems to heat the house independently for each room. Variety is the spice of life and at Elnur Gabarron we have a wide range of electric heating equipment to cover all kinds of comfort needs: wall-mounted or portable, wifi-controlled or programmable with analogue control, thermal fluid emitters (also known as oil radiators) or with heating elements, heat accumulation systems, convection or radiation heat such as infrared… We highlight the best of each one of them.
ELECTRIC RADIATORS OR HEAT EMITTERS
They are one of the most popular individual heating systems among users. Elnur Gabarron’s range of electric radiators are a perfect solution for all types of rooms and integrate numerous features to guarantee low consumption and great comfort when you need it.
This electric heating system can be used as a main heating system as well as a backup system for other heating systems. They are quick and easy to install thanks to our exclusive patented bracket system, guaranteeing wall fixing without the need for building work or templates.
At Elnur Gabarron we have two main technologies in the range of inertia electric radiators: on the one hand, we find the EcoFluid technology present in the emitters with thermal fluid, which, heated through resistances, gives the radiator greater thermal inertia. EcoSeco technology is found in emitters that do not contain any type of oil or thermal fluid inside them, although they do contain heating elements that occupy most of the surface of the equipment to ensure correct heat distribution and dissipation.
All Elnur Gabarron electric radiators offer the user excellent heating control, all are programmable with the possibility of adjusting comfort in the programming and have extra functions for comfort and savings, such as adaptive start-up control or the open window function.
In addition, they are designed with high quality components such as: premium thermal fluid that does not deteriorate over the years, high precision thermostats of ± 0.1ºC and electronic control optimisers to manage and restrict the flow of electricity avoiding excess consumption. Digital inertia electric radiators models with analogue control also include all these features, such as the RFE PLUS, RXE PLUS and the RBC.
If what you need is a comprehensive heating control of your home with thermal emitters, INGENIUM is what you are looking for. This range of electric radiators incorporates in its electronics the heating control via wifi to access the equipment and its programming or enjoy functions such as geolocation and voice control from your mobile phone at all times.
The INGENIUM model uses an external control unit to connect to the emitters from the Elnur Wifi Control application and offers exclusive features such as CDP, Dynamic Power Control, which allows you to enjoy heating without having to increase the contracted power of the home. The different INGENIUMs installed will alternate their operation avoiding simultaneous consumption without reducing the level of comfort.
The INGENIUM DIRECT radiator integrates direct wifi and does not require an external control unit, in this case dispensing with the CDP Dynamic Power Control. And we cannot finish without mentioning the INGENIUM CARE radiator, low-temperature surface emitters that are designed to protect the elderly or the youngest members of the household.

STORAGE HEATERS
This heating system has advanced and incorporated so many innovations in the last 15 years, that it is once again one of the most demanded systems when a stable 24-hour heating and comfort is required.
The operation of a storage heater is different from that of emitters. The accumulators have refractory material blocks inside them, which are the ones that will accumulate the heat inside them and then transfer this heat to the room when required. The storage heaters will be connected to the grid for a maximum of 8 hours (hours in which, in addition to accumulating heat inside, they also release it) and they will provide us with 16 extra hours of heating. That is, they provide 3 times more heating than they consume, this being a key to savings in 24-hour in accumulation heating systems.
The innovation in storage heaters comes with the incorporation of intelligent electronics that allows us to enjoy features such as control and management via wifi, choose between different operating modes, work modes with automatic settings to charge only the heat you are going to need and avoid excess consumption, integrated timer in the equipment (avoiding the need to add external clocks in the electrical panel), configuration of charging hours adapted to our electricity tariff, different charging periods and dynamic power control, among other functions.
You can choose between two types of storage heaters depending on your comfort requirements.
- The static storage heaters, such as Ecombi PRO, provide gradual heat throughout the day and do so through constant natural transfer. They will charge and give off heat according to the set comfort temperature. If they were charged to 100% capacity, all that heat would be brought into the room gradually during the hours of discharge. They are totally silent and highly recommended for all types of rooms or bedrooms where a stable temperature is desired.
- The dynamic heat accumulators such as the Ecombi ARC, in addition to offering heat by transfer, offer additional heat at certain times of the day thanks to the activation of their internal fan, which forces the accumulated heat to escape at the times programmed by the user. This allows additional concentrated heat to be available at certain times of the day, giving greater control over heat discharge. Dynamic storage heaters are recommended for living rooms, lounges or kitchens where, due to daily activity and comfort needs, we want to demand different temperatures at certain times. Analogue accumulator models such as the ADL model are also available.
If you have a photovoltaic system with grid feed-in, this system will undoubtedly become your new favourite heating system. The unique solar heat storage heaters are specially designed to detect the energy that you are not using for domestic consumption, i.e. the surplus, and take advantage of the solar energy to convert it into heating. They are fully configurable units that can operate in solar-only mode to help you reduce heating consumption in your home, or operate in combined mode with your electricity grid if you have not obtained sufficient solar production.
In addition, these storage heaters integrate CDP, dynamic power control in their electronics. This technology makes it possible to adapt the consumption of the accumulators in real time, depending on the available surpluses for maximum energy utilisation. The models available are Ecombi Solar and Ecombi ARC.
In this premium category of solar equipment for photovoltaic installations, we have to mention that we have also developed and patented our Solar Water Heater TSG, designed to make the most of the production of your solar panels for the generation of domestic hot water.
It is the perfect complement to any heating system you have installed in your home because it will help you to reduce your consumption all year round.
INSTANTANEOUS HEATING FOR SPECIFIC MOMENTS
If what you are looking for is a portable heater, to use at specific times either because you do not have room to fix the heater on the wall, or because you need to move the equipment between rooms, we have several models depending on the use and the place where they are going to be installed.
- HEATERS AND FAN HEATERS
With this range of heaters and fan heaters you can quickly heat bathrooms and small rooms very quickly, thanks to its power selector.
The operation of a heater or fan heater is based on the supply of hot air, providing a rapid sensation of warmth in the room. All portable fan heaters incorporate the Safety Sensor anti-tip system, a technology that stops the unit in the event of an unexpected fall as a safety measure.
The split-type wall-mounted ceramic heater models incorporate a remote control to control the different operating modes, choose between power levels or activate the timer. We offer wall-mounted and portable models with different finishes and powers. Enter the heaters and fan heaters section and discover which model best suits you.
- HEATERS AND FAN HEATERS
- CONVECTORS
hese heating units provide immediate comfort by natural convection of the air in the room. They are a very economical and an ideal solution for use in rooms such as bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens or to support other types of main heating systems in the home. The convectors are quiet, compact and easy to use. We have wall mounted models, such as PH PLUS and portable ones like the CP-TURBO.
- CONVECTORS
- INFRARED RADIATORS
In infrared heating, heat is produced and perceived instantaneously, without any kind of pre-heating. In contrast to convection heaters, infrared heaters do not heat the ambient air, but directly hit people and objects within their heating radius.
These infrared devices are designed for indoor or outdoor use, provided they are protected from direct weather conditions.
Infrared is classified according to the type of wave and the amount of light emitted, as well as the type of installation (wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted or portable). At Elnur Gabarron we have different infrared models. Find the most suitable for your use.
